Accommodation in the peaceful nature
Kuhmanne-villa
The Villa caters for a fully equipped holiday away from the busy life in the city. The bottom floor space is 95 m2 with 2 bedrooms and top floor space is 65 m2 with 2 identical bedrooms. The total number of beds is 8, however, we can also make adjustments to accommodate additional 4-6 guests when required. Villa was built in 2002 with electricity, running hot and cold water, drainage and choice of wood or electric heating in the inside and outside saunas. The villa is located 80 m. from the private beach.
Equipment
The villa is heated by the Finnish Tulikivi-fireplace and air-source heat pumps. Furthermore, the bottom floor is tiled with a floor heating whereas the rooms upstairs have electric heaters to bring that extra comfort of choice for your room temperature. The drinking water comes from a private dwell. The fully equipped kitchen, living room and bathroom are all located on the bottom floor. The bathroom downstairs includes a toilet, shower and inside sauna with a choice of wood or electric heating. The top floor has an additional sleeping space for 4-6 mattresses or camper beds, small living space with a TV and a children’s toy corner.

Lakeside accommodation in peaceful forest countryside
Tulikallio cottage
Tulikallio was built in 1994. The floorspace downstairs is 37 m² and upstairs is 24 m².
This traditional log-built cottage has electricity, drainage, and hot running water. The cottage has electric heaters and a wood-burning fireplace, plus underfloor heating in the bathroom.
There is a traditional lakeside sauna, and a private beach with 25m of the cottage.
Tulikallio is available to rent all year round.

Private beach: Lake Kuvansi
The lovely lakeside holiday house consists of three main structures, which are:
- Main living space with a kitchen, a spacious living room shared with the main sleeping space with a double bed, a second sleeping space with a narrow sofa bed behind a curtain and a sleeping alcove with additional bedding opportunity for two people, and a modern indoor toilet/bathroom.
- Adjacent sleeping lodge with two single beds
- Adjacent bathing space with a sauna, second mini kitchen, and a living space for relaxation by the private shores of lake Kuvansi.
Kastehelmi has a fully equipped kitchen, where our guests can host a family dinner with a choice of using an electric oven or a traditional Finnish wood heated ‘’Rane’’ oven (outside), or grill (outside). The 4-person dining table can be extended to fit 8 people, but you can consider moving your gathering outdoors onto the large terrace to enjoy the beautifully lush and peaceful Finnish nature.
Or would you rather sit back and enjoy a quiet night indoors by the warmth of a fireplace in the heart of Kastehelmi living room while making remarks on the views through the large water facing windows?
Kastehelmi provides utmost comfort for the two people sleeping in the main space with the double bed, however, additional bedding is also available in the sleeping spaces behind the curtain, upstairs in the alcove and in the peace of the separate sleeping lodge, which all can sleep two people each.
Take a stroll in the garden joining to the private beach while watching your kids play in the playhouse. Why don’t you challenge your family in the traditional game of darts outdoors? Or maybe wind down reading your favourite book in the unique garden shed while watching the sun go down and sipping a cup of tea? In these traditional open sheds, you can really seize the moment and forget the rest.
As per Finnish tradition, a traditional wood heated lakeside sauna functions as the main bathing space. Us Finns love a good sauna accompanied by a refreshment and a barbeque. Kastehelmi sauna has a mini kitchen and a spacious living space to serve this purpose. Interestingly, we, your host family, prefer Kastehelmi sauna and often take the trip to enjoy a quiet sunset bathing session at Kastehelmi when it’s unoccupied.
Both the main building and the sauna are lake facing with large façade surrounding terraces for enjoyment of long and warm summer evenings. The private beach has a safe sandy bottom and it is also shallow making it suitable for kids and adults alike to make the most of their lakeside holiday get away.

Bring your family and kids to see our Highland Cattle – cows and their adorable calves and traditional old farmhouse at our Rantalantila Farm (since 1868 by same family, address: Rantalantie 76, Suonenjoki) which is 5.5 km drive away from Kastehelmi. Contact the host for assistance to buy maybe some delicious organic Highland Cattle meat products.
- Try Husky rides!
- Explore the nearby national parks: Etelä-Konnevesi, Mustinmäki-Leppävirta
- Take Kastehelmi rowing boat out in the beautiful lake Kuvansi
- Try your luck fishing in lake Kuvansi (pike-perch, pike, perch, common whitefish, vendace, crucian carp, ide, common bream) or visit other nearby waterways. Contact the host for assistance to buy fishing permits.

Farmhouse
Our 18th century farmhouse has a long and interesting history serving the local community as a local school and a bank. The floorspace is 122 m².
The farmhouse is equipped with electricity, drainage, and hot running water, and was renovated in the 1990s. The distance from the beach is 70m.
